A rich, nutty, and sweet habanero treat made for those craving a homemade spicy and delicious snack.
Ingredients
FOR THE ALMONDS
- 1 C. Raw Almonds
- 1 Tsp. Honey
- Habanero Salt, To Taste
- 1 Tbsp. Yellowbird Organic Habanero Condiment
FOR THE HABANERO SALT
- 1/4 C. Yellowbird Organic Habanero Condiment
- 1 C. Salt
Preparation
FOR THE ALMONDS
- Preheat oven to 350˚F.
- In medium bowl stir together almonds, Yellowbird Habanero Condiment, honey, and habanero salt until combined. Place mixture in baking pan in a thin layer. Bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool. Almonds will continue to cook after they've been removed from the oven, so allow them to cool in baking pan.
FOR THE HABANERO SALT
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a mixing bowl, combine salt and Yellowbird Habanero Condiment and mix until fully combined.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread salt and habanero sauce mixture out into a thin layer across the baking sheet.
- Place baking sheet in the oven and immediately lower heat to 200 degrees.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- When time is up, turn the oven off. Don't open the door. Allow the salt to cool completely in the oven.
- Once completely cool, put salt into a food processor and give it a few pulses to break up any clumps.
