Pizza, but make it fire. At Yellowbird, Jalapeño is the new Marinara. Get a little spicy and step outside your comfort zone with this fiery pizza pie.
Ingredients
FOR THE PIZZA
- 10 Oz. of Pre-made Pizza Dough
- Jalapeño Pizza Sauce, recipe below
- 2 Oz. Goat Milk Cheddar
- Spinach, or preferred green topping
- 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
FOR THE SAUCE
- ½ C. Yellowbird Serrano Condiment
- ½ C. Sour Cream
- ¼ Tsp. Salt
- 2 C. Kale Greens
Preparation
FOR THE SAUCE
- Preheat your oven to 450°.
- In a large pan over medium heat, add coconut oil, onions, and tomatoes. Cook for about 15 minutes. Add Yellowbird Jalapeño Condiment and cook, stirring occasionally, until all ingredients come together into a thick sauce—about 20 minutes.
FOR THE PIZZA
- Roll dough into a 12–inch circle—dough should be thin. Place on a pizza pan and bake at 450° for 5-6 minutes.
- Remove from oven and spread pizza sauce generously over crust, top with cheese, spinach, and other desired toppings.
- Pop back in the oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the crust edge looks golden brown and the toppings are warm and bubbly.
- Slice and serve!
