Yellowbird Foods Wins Rookie of the Year
TEAMWORK REALLY DOES MAKE THE SAUCE DREAM WORK
To say that Whole Foods Market has been a fantastic retailer to work with is an understatement. In 2012, me and Erin Link thought "hey maybe there's a better way to do hot sauce". In 2013 I was delivering our spicy, produce-based concoctions to like 4 local restaurants and a farmer's market here in Austin when the local forager from the Southwest region called us (my phone number was literally on the bottle) and said "hey we've seen your stuff, we'd really like to give you a shot in Whole Foods".
I'd say "the rest is history" but we are still writing this story together. Yellowbird Foods, the Whole Foods Global Rookie of the Year, 2019!
I think everyone understands this but I will say it anyway: while Erin and I got dressed up to receive the award, our TEAM has done the heavy lifting day in and day out: Kevin Uplinger, Daniel Thompson, Jason Bollinger, Kelsey Manning, Katie Radez, Theresa Tobin, as well as all of our kitchen and warehouse team who you won't find on LinkedIn: Maria, Rex, Frank, Miguel, Neecy, Jesus, Daryl, Allison, Karen, Heather. Y'all are the real MVP's!
