Spicy Grapefruit Margarita

Make me a margarita, but with a sweet ‘n spicy Texas twist. 

This fruity cocktail combines tangy juice of a Texas Ruby Red Grapefruit and the subtle our Classic Yellowbird Blue Agave Sriracha for some spicy flare. Giddyup, y'all.

Yellowbird Blue Agave Sriracha Grapefruit Margarita

 

Ingredients:

FOR THE COCKTAIL

  • 1 Oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 Ruby Red Grapefruit, Juiced
  • 3 Oz. Silver Tequila
  • 1 Oz. Agave Nectar
  • 1 Oz. Yellowbird Classic Blue Agave Sriracha
  • Ice, As Needed

FOR THE SALT RIM

  • 3 Parts Salt
  • 1 Part Chili Powder
  • 1 Part Cane Sugar
  • Lime/Grapefruit Wedge, for garnish
  • Red Pepper, sliced, for garnish

 

Instructions:

  1. Prepare your glasses for the salt rim. Mix together the salt, chili, and sugar on a small, rimmed plate. Run a lime wedge around the outer top edge of your glasses, then roll the edges in the chili-salt so it sticks.

  2. In a cocktail shaker or mason jar, add the grapefruit juice, lime juice, Liber & Co. mixer, Yellowbird Blue Agave Sriracha, and tequila. Top off the shaker with ice. Fasten the lid on securely and shake well.

  3. Pour into prepared glass and garnish with red peppers and lime or grapefruit wedge.
